Roy Kastning Medical Bills

Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. If you are unaware, Roy sustained a massive heart attack about 2 weeks ago. Due to the extent of his heart attack, a ventricular septal defect was formed or in other terms a hole was created between his ventricles, mixing oxygenated and unoxygenated blood together. Roy was at St Mary's Medical Center for 4 days before getting transferred to Salt Lake's Intermountain Medical Center where they have a great Cardiac Health Center and doctors that are able to surgically repair his hole.

Roy underwent massive surgery Sunday, Sept 11th after his status began to fail needing to surgically intervene faster than they anticipated. Currently, Roy is in critical condition in Utah's Cardiac ICU fighting hard to get better under the wonderful care of their nurses and doctors.

Roy and Jeff live in Ekert, CO with some income. However, one of the last things Roy said before flying to Salt Lake was how concerned he was with his financial status now that he is unable to finish his various jobs. Thankfully Roy has great insurance so hopefully most health care costs will be covered though he has a long journey ahead of him.
