Roxane Gaudet needs your support!
On Sunday, July 16, 2017, Roxane was visiting family in Ottawa and on the way home she and her daughter, Ella, were involved in a serious car accident. Ella was fortunately uninjured, but Roxane suffered a C2 fracture in her neck , a fractured sternum and wrist.  She is OK, but has to wear a neck brace at all times and the bed can only be elevated to 30 degrees. She is currently extremely restricted in her mobility, and requires assistance to perform any task that requires mobility.
As you see in the picture, Roxane also wears a chest brace that supports her neck as well. She can sit up while wearing this brace, but still  requires assistance for daily living activites. She will continue to wear a neck brace for 6-12 more weeks.

During this time, Roxane will be off work. It is uncertain at this time what expenses Roxane might incur and what finances she will have as she will be unable to work.

She was  being cared for at the Civic Hospital Trauma Unit in Ottawa and had people who are able to visit and support her. She has been transferred  to the hospital in Temiscaming, Quebec.

Roxane has been my friend since we were children. We have been friends through many difficult times in our lives. She had given me support when I had my children. When my daughter was first born, every week for 6 weeks, Roxane would take the bus to my house to help and give me support. She would arrive with a meal for my husband and I, and a huge smile on her face, announcing she was here to help. She would tell me to go take a nap or shower and she would watch over my daughter. When I returned, she would have done my dishes, folded my laundry all the while singing to my daughter while she sat in her baby seat.

A few years later, there was Roxane once again supporting me when my mom passed away.  She understood how to support me because she had gone through similar grief with the passing of her own father.

Throughout her life, she has always been a happy and optimistic person. Even now, while injured in hospital she is happy and extremely grateful for the help and support of nurses, doctors and family and friends.

I am sure many of you who know Roxane have experienced the same happy, smiling, grateful woman that I know, the woman who is willing to help those in need and who has the determination to get better and recover from this terrible accident. Let us rally around her and give financial support to her so she can concentrate on getting her body healed without worry and stress about her future.

Please help my friend!!!!
