Roxy's Fight Against Cancer Fund

When you are growing up you never really think about death.  You almost think of yourself as being immortal. When God has the grace to bless one with the opportunity to grow up with friends that become family, one can only be there for that person through the midst of good and bad. You attend each other's biggest accomplishments (birthday parties, graduations, weddings, kids' first birthday etc.).  But friendship and love is truly tested in the rough times.  What do you do when you hear from your loved one that they have cancer?

It’s not something you want to hear come from a loved one’s mouth.  And how do you respond to them? ‘How can you be there for them?’ is the question that circles your mind.  On June 16th, 2017, at age 32, our beautiful friend Roxana “Roxy” Solorzano was diagnosed with Stage 2 Cancer.  She is to us a beautiful soul, hard worker, motivated, and selfless person. She just celebrated her 1 year anniversary with her boyfriend Mike.  In the beginning of 2017 she moved to Arizona from California in order to be closer to her family. Roxy absolutely love's her nieces and nephews, and her dream is to one day have a beautiful family of her own. Roxana has shown through her actions that she goes above and beyond for those that need her help.

Those that love her are standing firm with her to help her fight her way thru this season in her life, and know that she will come out of it STRONGER, BRAVER, HEALED, COURAGEOUS, and MORE ALIVE than ever before!

How does one cope with hearing "its cancer"?  We can't even imagine what Roxana or anyone that has heard those words feels. We know that Roxana will get thru this by the grace of God.  We know that we all will face obstacles in this world, but Jesus says in John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."  There is no greater peace than the one that comes from God, especially in the midst of when our lives feel like it is in complete chaos.

If you find it in your heart to help Roxana fight back financially while she fights back physically, emotionally, mentally, and spirituality it would be of a deep-down gratitude from Roxana and her family. Any amount would help tremendously and will be forever appreciated.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and God bless!
