Rowdy's Medical Costs

My Dad brought Rowdy home on May 17th of this year. From that moment on they have been best friends. Rowdy likes to talk just as much as my dad and they frequently have lengthy conversations lol. He's a sweet guy who loves to run around and speak to everything and everyone he sees. About a month ago we noticed that he was walking oddly on his left back leg and took him to the Vet for an X-ray. Our Vet then referred us to the University Vet Clinic because there seemed to be something wrong. We were told that Rowdy must have had a broken leg when he was very, very young- before we were even able to pick him up from his mom, and the leg healed on its own. However, it healed incorrectly and he needs to have the bone cut in a precise location and healed correctly in order to fix his leg. Without the surgery, the Vet says he will have a very poor quality of life and will suffer from debilitating arthritis in that leg at a young age. The cost of the surgery is $5,000 and does not include physical therapy, or follow up appointments. My dad is 65 years old with Degenerative Disk Disease in his back and cannot work. He only receives a small amount from Social Security each month as well as food stamps. The Vet requires that the surgery be paid in full before we pick Rowdy up from surgery, or that we enter into a payment plan with an extremely high interest rate - but still have to put 50% down on the surgery. We applied for a grant through Noah's Animals and received $2,000 towards his surgery. Before surgery, he received 2 MRIs to check the positioning of his leg that cost $600 each. He will need at least 1 more MRI after the surgery to see if it is healing correctly, as well as Physical Therapy and medicine. I am trying to raise money for Rowdy's surgery and his Post-Op medical expenses as I do not have enough money to help my dad pay for this surgery. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!!
