I was told to make this in hopes that we could get some help with the deposit for Rowan’s mouth to be fixed so here we go!

Rowan is about to be a 9yr old who loves his Fortnite, tornados, dinosaurs, and his sister. He wants to be a storm chaser when he grows up. The most hilarious kid I know with a heart so big that he is able to love everyone he knows.

Today we saw an orthodontist to get a game plan in order to fix his lower jaw and front teeth. I knew it was bad, I just didn’t realize how bad it really is (see pictures)

Rowan has a 60% (60mm) recession in his lower jaw that causes him to have an extreme overbite which then caused his bottom lip to slip under his front 4 top teeth as those adult teeth were coming in and pushing them forward a significant amount to the point where he is unable to close his lips when in a resting state. His orthodontist is worried that as he gets older, if he were to fall or have any type of trauma that it may cause his top teeth to go through his bottom lip as well as some other worries.

In order to fix this, Rowan will need two stages of braces. The first one is braces on the top front 4 teeth and a brace in the back which would pull those top teeth back, vertically straight and together so there is less spacing with a lower risk of cavities forming and hopefully allowing his bottom jaw to come forward. This will be a 9 month long stage. After this stage, he will receive a full mouth of braces with springs (or bands depending on how much his jaw comes out with fixing his front top 4 teeth) on the back top and bottom teeth to push his lower jaw forward. If this doesn’t correct his bottom jaw enough to where we don’t have to worry too much about the recession, he would need surgery as a teenager to break the bottom jaw and extend it forward manually. I can not imagine my baby going through a surgery so painful and breaking his jaw and not being able to eat solids, especially since he has severe food aversions, so we desperately have to try these 2-3yrs of braces in attempt to correct this so surgery isn’t necessary. His growth plates in his mouth are still able to be moved around and the orthodontist said that Rowan’s adult teeth are a year ahead of schedule so we have a high chance of this working..

The estimate for this first step of braces is $1,884 which has a deposit of $480 and a 10 month plan of $140.. We can make the monthly payments, I just don’t have the funds for the deposit or the means to save it as I’m literally making just enough to cover bills as it is. I just got more hours approved weekly where I work, so I know those monthly payments can be made, I just can’t save anything up in the timeframe that is needed for us to start this for him so with that, I’m just raising the $480 and not the full price.

Even if it’s a single dollar… a share… or just advice on how to acquire this amount, it’s helpful to him right now!
