Row 34 and ICOB Employee Grocery Fundraiser

Friends, As many of you have read, over 22 million Americans are currently unemployed as a result of COVID-19. While it’s hard to grasp the scale of the problem, that number includes more than 300 members of our restaurant family. For those team members, something as simple as a bag of groceries can make all the difference during this crisis. That’s why we’ve started working with our wholesale suppliers to buy staple groceries for members of our restaurant family who are in need. By leveraging our supplier relationships (and supporting them along the way!), just $25 buys a weeks’ worth of groceries that would otherwise cost $50 to $75 at a local store.   Last week, we donated the first round of groceries to our team and, through contactless pickup, handed out nearly 200 bags of groceries.  But we need your help to continue supporting our restaurant family.   Our goal is simple:   RAISE $360 A DAY. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO PROVIDE A BAG OF GROCERIES TO EACH TEAM MEMBER EVERY 2 WEEKS. Every dollar is appreciated, and for every $25 we raise, we’ll be providing $50 to $75 worth of groceries to a team member and their family.   Sample Grocery Bag: Dry linguini Canned white beans Canned tuna Loaf of wheat bread Sliced cheddar Sliced turkey Toilet paper Rice Granola bars Butter Canned Chicken Soup Fruits and Vegetables As money is raised, our plan is to withdraw it from the account and use it to buy groceries which we will then hand out to all employees every other Friday. Our next grocery pick up will be this Friday at Row 34 Portsmouth, and next Friday at Row 34 Boston and ICOB Burlington. We know this is a challenging time for everyone, so we just want to say thank you for any support you are able to provide. Restaurant Life before COVID: Restaurant Life during COVID: We know it isn’t much, but in these times our instincts are to care for those who need it, so if we can provide some nourishment to frontline healthcare workers and our restaurant family who are out of work, we are happy to do it.   We can’t wait to be back shucking oysters, pouring delicious beer and taking care of each of you.
