Roudy's Barn Raising

On July 20th, Joanne and Roudy Roudebush's Barn exploded in flames. It contained a lifetime of cowboy paraphernalia, Roudy's beloved IH Farmall tractor, and every piece of tack (saddles and bridles), collected over the course of his 40 years of cowboyisms.
No horses, or people were injured and we are grateful for the community that has rallied around them to lend a hand cleaning up the burn site, drop off halters and lead ropes and offer an ear for a listen.
Roudy commented that "I sure didn't see this coming... particularly in the matter of adequate insurance". Replacing the contents and pricing out individual pieces, for hundreds of pieces of tack, tools and horse supplies is proving to be an arduous, time consuming task.
That being said, tools and horse supplies need to be purchased in order to raise a new barn and get ready for riding again.
While Roudy is probably too proud to ask you for help, we (his friends and wranglers) are not, and hope that we can lean on our tight knit community to help Roudy and Joanne get back on their feet.
We are grateful for any sized monetary donation. Initially these donations will be used to purchase barn building supplies (literally every hammer, screwdriver and saw was lost), lumber and windows. We aim for completion of the new barn in the coming weeks, and hope to be back in the saddles by the end of the summer.
Procuring tack and horse equipment will be ongoing. We appreciate any contacts to vintage Western saddles, bridles and tack for donation or purchase. We estimate costs of $500-$1000 per saddle and $100-$300+ per bridle, in addition to harness oat pans, brushes, hoof picks, curry combs, leather tools and all other things horse related.
An account is will be set up at Alpine Bank and a community gathering is in the works. Any donations of bridles, saddles, blankets, pads, bits and reins would be graciously accepted at that gathering or by appointment in Telluride or Norwood.
