Rostros del Río - Faces of the River
Donation protected
Six months. 800 miles. How can community-driven storytelling be leveraged to empower local stakeholders and bring to light the reality of life on the Paraguay River?
After serving in Paraguay as Peace Corps Volunteers, we, Henry Maillet and Jeff Wong, decided to stay in the country to row a handcrafted wooden rowboat down one of the continent's last remaining free-flowing rivers. Through photography and recorded interviews, we hope to explore the bio-cultural diversity found along the river's banks and bring to light the critical need for freshwater conservation and cultural preservation in a largely unknown part of the world.
Thank you so much for your support!
