As many of you know, our dear colleague and friend Ross O'Leary has recently undergone a significant health scare where he bravely had to fight for his life. Thanks to a wonderful team at St. Michael's hospital in Toronto, he is now in relatively stable condition and continues to make improvements.
However, he now has a new life challenge ahead of him - as part of the fight to save his life, he had his right leg amputated midway up his shin. Although it has been a lot to process over a short while, Ross' tremendous spirit remains unbroken and he continues to disarm his visitors and hospital staff with his positive energy.
As Ross prepares for this new life challenge and heads to a rehabilitation clinic soon, a few of us at B Street have created this GoFundMe page to support Ross in a few ways:
- Support of his living costs while he sets up his disability and EI funding
- Any health-related costs that are not covered by OHIP, such as some rehabilitation services
- Funds towards a more advanced prosthesis that will truly help him live a higher quality life
We will work with Ross to allocate donated funds as he sees fit. Your generousity and kindness is very much appreciated!!
