<div>I know that just last year so many of you reached out and helped with the massive medical bills I had piling up, and I feel guilty for even thinking of asking for help a second time. Sadly, it looks like this might be a last ditch option for me.

<div>With no longer being able to work, I was approved for disability that started in January. From June to January while I was unemployed, I was not approved for unemployment because my disability application was pending. I lived off of savings and then had to start using credit cards to pay for doctor appointments, monthly meds, and any other necessity. 
</div>

<div>As the new year started, I started receiving disability in January. I hoped it would be enough to pay my monthly bills and make small payments on paying down the credit cards that are now all at their limits. Sadly, it’s not even enough to get me through the month, let alone make any progress on paying the credit cards so they don’t go over the limit and into default. And that’s not including the few hundred dollars I pay in co-pays and prescriptions each month, either.

<div>I have exhausted all resources I’ve been able to - DHS, Medicare, Medicaid, the American kidney foundation, grant applications, everything I can think of or google. 
</div>

<div>At the end of this month (February 26th), I also have a court case to begin legal divorce proceedings. I have been looking for any low income based or pro bono lawyers for the past week, but haven’t had any luck there, either. 
</div>

<div>I know things are hard for everyone. And I honestly don’t expect many folks I know to have any funds they can spare. I just keep telling myself I have to try everything I can, and hopefully something will work out.
