<div>Hi friends. I am launching a gofundme to start my journey towards gender affirming surgery. I started my medical transition 3 years ago, when I started Hormone Replacement Therapy. I was so scared, scared of who I was, who I would become, scared of how my loved ones would react. It’s not an overstatement to say that I feel enormous, heart bursting gratitude every day for myself for stepping off that cliff into the unknown, of taking all that fear and self-doubt and carrying it carefully towards towards the woman I am today, and for the friends and family that have supported me the whole way. HRT has been the greatest decision of my life, re-associating me into my body that I had become so estranged from, melting an iceberg of shame and self-loathing that I had become so used to. So with that at my back, even though surgery seems like an impossibly distant goal financially, I have learned to trust my instincts, and am taking this first step towards making it a reality. This money will be to help cover the cost of travel, accommodation, surgery and time off work for recovery. Thankyou in advanced from the bottom of my heart.
