Rosemere Scouts help Flood Victims

Félix Castano est né à Maple Ridge, en Colombie-Britannique. Quand il avait 4 ans, nous avons déménagé à Rosemère, au Québec, mais nous avons toujours un lien très étroit avec la Colombie-Britannique.

Félix est membre de Scoutisme  Rosemère Mémorial et lorsqu'il a vu ce qui se passait à Abbotsford, il a su qu'il devait aider. L'une des valeurs qu'il a apprises grâce aux scouts est d'aider les autres dans la communauté. Il a décidé de lancer une collecte de fonds afin d'aider ceux qui ont tout perdu dans l'inondation.

La Fondation communautaire d'Abbotsford (ACF), la Chambre de commerce d'Abbotsford et l'Université de la vallée du Fraser ont suivi l'impact des inondations sur et autour de notre communauté. En réponse, ils ont créé conjointement le Fonds de secours aux sinistrés d'Abbotsford. Ce fonds soutiendra les agences de première ligne fournissant des services essentiels aux familles et aux entreprises touchées.

Félix Castano was born in Maple Ridge, B.C.  When he was 4, we moved to Rosemère, Québec, but we still have a very close connection with the lower-mainland, B.C. 

Félix is a member of the Rosemère Memorial Scouts, and when he saw what was happening in Abbotsford, he knew he had to help.   One of the values he has learned through Scouts is helping others in the community. He decided to start a fundraiser in order to help those who have lost everything in the flood.

The Abbotsford Community Foundation (ACF), the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce and the University of the Fraser Valley have been following the impact of the flooding on and around our community. In response they have jointly established the Abbotsford Disaster Relief Fund. This fund will support front-line agencies providing essential services to affected families and businesses.
