My wife Roselyn Refuerzo is a very good mother and a loving wife. She loves her family very much. We have been married for 25 years. Out of those 25 years, 10 years plus has been a challenge medically but we have been able to conquer all challenges with the help of family, friends, and church family. I am reaching out again to my family, friends, and now to social media. Life at all cost must be preserve is the reason why I am reaching out to social media for financial assistance. I believe, if I know I can help prolong any life especially my wife, I have helped preserved life to its fullest. Scientist, medical doctors, and organizations that have the ability to help preserve life has an obligation to do so but can be costly. Technology and medicine nowadays can help preserve life but is not cheap to get the best treatment.

Preserving life to its fullest, let’s face it, it’s expensive especially when you are sick with a disease that we did not sign up for.

Here is our story.....unfortunately at the age of 35 my wife was diagnosed with a rare lung disease called Lymphophangioleiomyomatosis(LAM). In 10/1/2008 she received a DOUBLE lung transplant. Although she was given a second chance in life, it has not been normal. It has been a challenge keeping up with all kinds medications, frequent doctor visits, etc. In those 10 years my wife although medically challenged has raise two beautiful children. She would care, teach, and discipline our children in a very loving manner. Our children has matured well and are responsible, better than me I would say when I was growing up. Roselyn loves to teach my children especially during homework time. She would even go to great lengths in doing my kids projects instead of my kids doing it themselves. She is very meticulous in raising our children that my kids never has shown any type of rebellious attitude. She has been a super mother to my children as many women would love to be with their children.

Fast forward 10 years later and 48 years old, my wife’s health has been declining. She is now more susceptible to sickness, even a slight common cold would cause her to go to an emergency room everytime. It effects her lungs all the time. Unfortunately on January 9, 2018, she caught a virus called RSV. Normally RSV virus would effect small children and not be a big deal to adults but since my wife’s immune system is very low, the RSV virus cause her to be admitted to Intensive Care Unit at Mayo Clinic Hospital. This RSV virus cause my wife to be in a life and death situation. She was put in respiratory ventilator machine. I thought I was going to lose my wife but we are fortunate to be in Mayo Clinic who is treating her for the deadly virus that really effected her double  lung transplant. Now we are face with this deadly virus that can possibly kill my wife. She has been in intensive care since January 13, 2018, definitely not a good year to start!

Now many any of our friends and family knows my wife is in critical care. Many of you have ask, “What can we do to help?” Now I put my pride down and humbly ask for financial assistance from my friends, family, and social media. Although we have health insurance, it is not enough to fully cover all expenses to maintain my wife’s double lung transplant continuous treatment. It has been a struggle financially even though she has been treated with Mayo Clinic all these years. I humbly ask for your financial assistance. The funds will strictly pay for my wife’s medical treatment at Mayo Hospital. If not fully use or exercise, I plan on starting a non profit organization to fund and help people with the same medical condition or donate it to Mayo Clinic Foundation for medical research to help find the cure for Lymphangioleiomyomatosis(LAM). Please help for whatever amount you can donate. Please share it with your friends and family. I would really appreciate your help and generous contribution to preserve life for my lovely wife. I know you would do the same to your family members or even friends if you had the means and capabilities. God bless you and your families. I know someday the diseases of the world can be cured but for now treating and continuous treatment for many is a financial burden but when we put our financial resources together, it can ease the burden. Thank you again for your help and donation.

If you need medical documentation, about my wife’s medical condition, I have that all ready for your perusal but for privacy reason, it will only be provided as needed. Thank you for your understanding.
