Project Mask Makers by Rose Costumes

When the Coronavirus outbreak arose, Rose Costumes shut our doors to the public in order to adhere to and encourage social distancing to keep the community safe. We have been a part of the Denton and North Texas community for over 40 years, and we decided to implement our unique skillset to help others.

We have founded and launched Project Mask Makers, a movement that is creating and donating masks to essential workers on the front lines of the pandemic. 

So far, we have been able to donate masks to the entire Denton Postal Fleet, the National Guard, the Denton Police Department, the Denton ISD Child Nutrition Program, the Salvation Army, City of Denton workers, the Navajo Nation, Texas Oncology, and the SoupMobile, as well as many assisted living centers, doctors offices, battered women's shelters, daycare facilities, and struggling local businesses. At this moment, we have over 11,000 masks in the works, and all of us are working tirelessly to provide masks to as many people as we possibly can. 

We are dedicated to protecting those who are putting their lives at risk for the rest of us, as well as those who have limited ability to help themselves, and we refuse to capitalize on a pandemic. Mask donations will remain free, but we need your help urgently. 

With our doors closed to business and no income coming in, we are desperately in need of financial aid to keep our lights on and our sewing machines running. Every cent given to Project Mask Makers will go toward mask making materials, cleaning and safety supplies, and shipping and delivery costs. Your donation will ensure that free protective equipment will reach those who need it the most, helping to save lives.
