Roscoe’s Anaphylactic Shock Fund

Roscoe isn’t just a good boy, he’s a bona fide Very Good Boy with very good pawrents to boot. Unfortunately Very Good Boys still have health issues, and to say that Roscoe is having health issues at the moment would be the understatement of the year.

 In the early morning hours of January 11th, 2020 Roscoe’s mom, Millie, knew something wasn’t right. She went downstairs to find him collapsed on the floor. He was very cold and had a very weak pulse rate, so rushed him to the emergency vet. The staff settled on the diagnosis that Roscoe was in anaphylactic shock. They have no idea what brought it on or why. Anaphylactic shock is very serious and can be very deadly. In humans it affects the lungs, in dogs it affects the liver. After an ultrasound it confirmed that he has blood in his abdomen and his blood isn’t clotting on its own. So far he’s had two rounds of fresh frozen plasma with the likelihood that he’ll have to have more. In order to get the care that he needs he’ll have to stay at the emergency vet for the unforeseeable future. This is heartbreaking for the whole family but especially for the family golden retriever, Simcoe. Roscoe and Simcoe are BFFs and he misses his pug pal terribly.

 Roscoe’s parents, Millie and Charles, are two of the best people you will ever meet in your life. They have helped raise hundreds of thousands dollars for various charities including Austin Pets Alive, Aids Services of Austin, Best Friends Animal Society, Habitat for Humanity, and many more. They are devoted to helping make the community a better place. Because of this they would never ask for the help on their own, so we’ve made this GoFundMe on their behalf.
