My Wife suffers from Non specific interstitial pneumonitis, which is a disease that causes scarring of the lung tissue, with the only cure being a double lung transplant.
She was diagnosed in December of 2007, and has gradually declined over the following years.
This illness lost us not only our business, but our whole way of life, our home, and our self dignity.
I had to give up work to become her full time carer, as the scarring has vastly reduced the capacity of both of her lungs, and even slight exertion, such as going to the bathroom, leaves her gasping for breath, and coughing in the most alarming fashion.
Thankfully, she is now prescribed 24 hour oxygen, which greatly helps her day to day living. But. What she wants, more than anything else, is the chance to regain some of her independence, and mobility once again !.
I am advancing in years, and I am finding it increasingly difficult to push her in her "normal" wheelchair, so I thought a motorised one would would be a great help to her.
Unfortunately, I am not in a position to get a loan for this due to not being able to leave her and go to work, and none of the government agencies are willing to help us.
So therefore, I am throwing ourselves at your mercy, with the hope that you will be able to help this wonderful Lady, and the love of my life to get back some of her independence.
