Rory’s life-saving surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone! For those who don’t know Rory, she is a 6 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves going on hikes, playing ball and most of all will do anything for the attention and love of a human. Rory is the love and light of my whole life. She has been with me for my entire adult life and I hoped that she would be there to meet my future children one day. To anyone who knows Rory or has even passed her in the street, knows that she is a ball of love and radiates positivity. Rory has been right by my side through some of the hardest days of my life and it feels impossible to imagine future hard days without her.
Rory lost motor function of her two back legs September 20th and was taken into the vet hospital to get it checked out. We found out that a spinal injury lead to loss of deep pain sensation in her back legs and she is at risk for myelomalacia, which is fatal. There is currently a 60% chance that Rory can come out of this surgery without risk of fatality but the alternative, will be to put her down. The cost of this surgery is estimated at $12,000. Anyone who knows me knows that I would give up everything for Rory. She is my world and I truly could not fathom a life without her in it. To anyone that has met Rory, you know how special of a girl she is. Thank you so much for any support you can give.
