Karen Tussey, my mom-in-law, mentioned she figured out what she wanted for Christmas - a Roomba! Since my family got together to get me a set of power tools (not cheap) for my birthday, we were thinking I could figure out how to get family and friends together (since it’s also not a cheap item) to get it for her! And since her family and friends are much more scattered about (that’s all of you), this is how I’m going to try an do this.
So, who am I? I’m Chrysti Lell and I’m married to Paul, her second son. Some of you have met me and others haven’t, but if I haven’t met you, I’ve heard about all of you from Karen, and love you all! Please help me get this for her - anything and every little bit helps. And anyone that donates will be added to the card as part of the gift givers!
The iRobot we’re looking at getting her is available from Costco and costs $699.99 is subject to sales taxes for the City of Westminster, Jefferson County, and the State of Colorado (currently 8.6% total). Not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but it has the auto-empty station she desires because Bentley and Georgia make a lot of fur and daily clean up of it is just time that could that could be spent on quilting, crocheting, in the garden, or hanging out with friends, neighbors, grandkids, and so much more!
The goal is set at what we need total, and while we don’t expect to raise anywhere near that, if we get to it or more, we’ could get a vacuum for the main floor and one for the upstairs. It would be awesome to do so, since robot vacuums don’t navigate up and down stairs yet, but the dogs most certainly do (and leave their hair everywhere)!
Thank you for looking, taking the time to read, and think about helping, and if you do help, for helping. It means the world to us, and to Karen. It’s amazing what a few extra minutes in your day accomplish.
