Room 11 Employee Relief Fund

Donation protected
On Monday, March 17th, Room 11 closed its doors in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis in hopes of protecting our staff, guests, and community at large. Every staff member was laid off in the process and faces an uncertain future.

We are a very small business, with limited resources and the tightest of margins, and are unable to offset the economic losses of our staff.

With this in mind, we turn to you, our friends, family, and community, to help provide for the employees who have brought joy to Columbia Heights and Washington D.C. for years.

Many of our staff live paycheck to paycheck and expect an extended closure to be financially devastating. For those of us that have health insurance, we are paying for that directly out of our pocket. Others don't have it altogether.

We realize that not everyone may be able to help financially at this time. But for those who can, whatever amount you may be able to offer, however small or large, will go a long way towards supporting us in this time of need.

100% of proceeds will be going to employees of Room 11. In particular, we will provide funds to employees who are in the greatest of need or might not be protected by the conventional safety nets of society.

Thank you. Stay safe.
