For Grandma Rena's sweet grand kiddies,

Lala 6 years old


and Shane 2 years old



Grandma Rena passed away unexpectedly and suddenly.

Since his mom’s passing, Hank has demonstrated his resolve and determination to put his children’s needs first. He has grasped the significance of how the sudden death of their grandmother has impacted his children and made changes in his schedule to be with them consistently. He sought counsel on ways to help them with their grieving and how he could emotionally support them through it and has shared several times how he was there for them in a sensitive, caring manner as they were expressing their pain. He has repeatedly expressed his desire to care for and protect the children and to be the best father/parent he can be and he is delivering under very difficult circumstances.

Rena was a beloved mother figure to the children 5 days a week.


She was also their main financial support.

Presently, besides taking care of his kids 5 days a week, Hank is also in the middle of a difficult custody conflict with their mother whose functioning is deteriorating daily, and balancing his time between being there for the kids  and working part time. The most challenging issue for him is finding a place to live in the larger Bay Area, a place which will be approved by the Custody Court and which he can afford.

We,  Paul and Gerri, are putting out this request so that we all have the chance to pull together to be there for the children, by providing the funds to put a roof over their heads and help them regain some sense of long term stability.
