UPDATE: WHAT HAPPENED
Last year many businesses suffered a notorious ransomeware attack including our local favorite painting store, Ron's Paint. The year prior the community suffered the loss of a magnificent bookkeeper whom Ron employed to manage his books. The combination of events created a firestorm on Ron's bookkeeping and he lost his ability to recover proper management of records and the consequence has been devasting. On top of making things extremely difficult for his new bookkeeper, this year has been extremely busy with high demands for paint sales to refurbish existing and new homes and businesses in the area. However, due to a dysfunctional recovery of his records, Ron lost his ability to collect outstanding balances and now he has fallen in arrear with his paint distribution company. The company is demanding $80k up front before he can place new orders to restock his supplies.
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE
Ron is currently in the process of reorganzing his affairs with professionals to correct his computer security issues, bookkeeping, sales and point of sale system immediately. However, time is of the essence and he's in need of funds to re-establish relations with his supplier in order to meet the demands for sales in our community. IF he is unable to meet this demand soon, he will be forced to close down completely. It is merely a matter of lack of funds vs time. He's on a new track - and ready to fight like a bull, and we are absolutely confident he will succeed with the help of friends and/or funds from a local financial institution.

RON WILSON: A note from Chastity
For more than 18 years now Rons paint and supply has been a major contributor to the Florence community. Ron does much more than sell paint. I think it’s fair to say that he literally touches the lives of everyone that walks into his store. If you’ve been there you know why I’m saying this. With his warm smile and contagious laugh he becomes an instant friend. It’s more like an experience than a paint store.
Ron truly cares about his community. He makes sure to donate to just about every organization or fundraiser that comes through his door every year. The friendships that he has formed over the last 18+ years keep him smiling and wanting to serve his community. Despite his easy going attitude and smiling face each day, Ron is suffering a great loss due to his lack of knowledge in computers and bookkeeping. It's been only recently that he has grown aware of the extent of the damages.
Please know all Ron's Paint customer info, including confidential credit card or bank information was never in his bookkeeping system so most thankfully his friends were never compromised. THAT is the silver lining. But now? Ron needs a bit of help - quickly.
