Ron's Medical Expenses & Memorial

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Ron Smith passed away on Friday, August 4th. There are perhaps many of you that were not aware Ron had been battling a grueling disease, cardiomyopathy, for over 10 years. Ron was quite private about his illness and up until three weeks ago, he was very hopeful to get a new heart and start a new life. Unfortunately, a heart did not become available and Ron had complications with other interventions the doctors attempted.

Ron was surrounded by his family as he transitioned to his next journey very peacefully. Although we knew of the severity of Ron's illness, his family is still in shock because his death was not anticipated. To that end, should you wish to support the family during this time we hope you will do so here to help with the extraordinary medical expenses such as the air ambulance.
