Ronnie requires heart surgery

We picked Ronnie up from a breeder who was clearly "in it for the cash". We were told that he had Cherry Eye, a condition that requires treatment but doesnt cause him any pain, so we were prepared for the vet informing us about that. What we weren't prepared for was the severe heart murmur which was pronounced to us, and the high risk factor behind any surgery. We were referred to a specialist. Having seen the specialist and Ronnie being sedated to enable them to perform all the necessary tests, his poor little heart is worse than we anticipated. The main valve which pumps his blood doesnt close properly and there holes in the heart wall. Surgery is an option, but as I say, it is high risk, and high cost, and something which his insurance will not cover. We are struggling as to where to come up with this money and I am hoping that someone can help.  Thankyou.
