A Kiwanian In Urgent Need of Help

For nearly 30 years of his life, Kiwanian Ron Lonicki has helped people, particularly children.
As a member of five different Kiwanis clubs over the past 27 years in locales ranging from Delaware to Maryland to Wisconsin to Louisiana and now to San Diego, Ron has done it all; feeding the homeless, reading to children, stuffing and distributing backpacks to inner city kids, and supplying Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to families are just some of acts of kindness Ron has done to help make the world a better place.
And now Ron, 63, a man who has spent these last three decades helping people, is doing something he never imagined he’d be doing: ASKING for help.
After Ron moved to the San Diego area two years ago, a bout of pneumonia in March, 2020, damaged his kidneys. Today, as he faces the prospect of dialysis and eventual kidney failure, Ron's kidney function is down to 8 percent! While awaiting a kidney donor, his life savings have nearly been depleted. Because of the continuous doctor appointments (he had 17 appointments in March alone), Ron hasn’t been able to work.
But we're not asking you for a kidney today but rather your generous support of this outstanding human being.
Because he faces an uncertain financial future as he awaits his life-saving kidney donation, the members of the Los Rancheros Kiwanis Club in Rancho Bernardo, California, ask your help in donating WHATEVER YOU CAN to our Kiwanis brother, Ron.
