Ron's Fight with Lung Cancer

Donation protected
It is with terrible sadness that I (Marcia Walters Adkins) share the news that my brother, Ron Walters, was diagnosed with terminal non small cell lung cancer on September 19, 2017. What started as a broken arm from something very minor turned out to be far worse. The cancer had already eaten through the bone in his arm. There is no cure for this terrible disease, only time management.

Ron has already been through 10 rounds of radiation on his arm and 12 rounds of chemotherapy. The next step is 10 more rounds of radiation on his lung. Through this all, I have never seen a more upbeat, optimistic person.

Ron is self employed as an Automotive Warranty Inspector. He doesn't have paid sick days, disability or vacation. While living in Washington Courthouse, he travels to the Zangmeister Center in Columbus for treatment. As this disease progresses, his ability to make a living doesn't look good.

Countless people know and love him and ask the question, "What can I do". This donation page has been established to help Ron with the difficult road ahead. Ron would never ask for anything like this, but as his sister I have set up this campaign to assist with expenses and to keep you updated on how he is doing. Funds raised will be used for uncovered medical bills, travel expenses and any other expenses as it becomes more difficult to work everyday.

Ron has uplifted many lives through his generous spirit and hilarious sense of humor. I could always count on him to be my rock when my Dad passed away and when my Mom was in the hospital. I knew he would take charge and say and do the right thing. He loves life and is trying to make every day count. We need your help to make his days ahead the best they can be.

With all my heart, I thank you.
