In Memory of Ron Parodi

From Jacob:
Our dad, Ron Parodi, passed away Tuesday (10/3) night, after a brief but intense illness. His hospitalization was sudden and unexpected. I talked to him a couple weeks ago about his upcoming chemo treatment and he was optimistic about beating cancer again and experiencing more of his life and family. He also shared, as he always has, about how God was showing him new things in his word and how eager he was to walk out his faith at work and at home. Unfortunately, a super rare and terrible reaction to the treatment put an end to those plans, and Dad went home to rest in the presence of God.

Our family is surprised, shocked, and grieving the loss of our loved one. At the same time, we have a great peace and joy knowing he is no longer hurting anymore. Dad walked near to Jesus for over forty years, and Jesus never left his side, even up to the end of his time here. Our grief comes in waves, and yet every moment of sorrow is turned to joy in knowing the hope that Dad had is now fully realized.

We are grateful for the legacy Dad leaves behind and that he was able to meet all of his grandchildren.

From Bethany:
Many people have asked how they can help our family through this loss. First and foremost, continue praying. We feel your prayers as we are taking one step, one day at a time. Please continue.

There are also some very practical financial needs. Right up to a week before Ron passed, he was working. This sudden loss has also resulted in a sudden loss of income for Casey. Unfortunately, due to his battle with cancer, they could not afford the price for life insurance so the policy was cancelled a while ago. This leaves Casey with no choice but to sell their house and move into an apartment as soon as possible.

I would love for Casey to know the deep and far-reaching impact they, as a couple, have had on those around them. Let us overwhelm her with financial support so that she can have room to grieve without the worry about whether she can pay her bills. This transition is difficult and painful, but let's help ease the financial burden.

We love and appreciate everyone that has surrounded us with love and support through this time. Thank you!
