Ron Hamill Fire Support Fund
Donation protected
Friends created this to gather financial support for our dear friend and admirable mycologist, Ron Hamill, who lost his home with all belongings and his mycology lab during the devastating Archie Creek wildfire on September 5, 2020 near Glide, Oregon. Ron helped his elderly neighbors evacuate and then had only a short time to pack all he could into a few boxes before fleeing with his good dog Ruby. We are so grateful they made it out safely with their lives. We want to generate as much financial support as possible to give him a fresh start and the peace of mind he needs to begin healing and rebuilding. We want Ron to be able to get back to focusing on mycology as soon as possible, he is one of the top field mycologists in the Pacific Northwest.
Due to the rapid response of Ron's community of supporters, and after receiving more information about his uninsured losses, we have decided to increase our fundraising goal. Thanks to all of you who have donated so far!
