Shakespeare in the Schools

During the months of 2020 when schools are in session, I want to continue to bring accessible, professional Shakespeare to middle and high-school students, and to honor the request from the dozens of schools we have now visited with a new production. Funds will be used to build a new portable set that will have an educational component in that it will express elements of the stages of Shakespeare's day. This, combined with the glorious language of the plays, will help the student audience "piece together with the imagination" the timeless stories that Shakespeare wanted to convey through the ages.

"The World of Shakespeare" was presented on March 24, 2017 at the Cushman School of Miami. Forty-five 8th-grade students performed scenes from four great comedies under the tutelage of Shakespeare Troupers and school teachers.
