Hello Dear Friends and Family!
I have been offered an amazing opportunity, and I need your help to see it through.
I applied to LifeSiteNews for the position to attend a Catholic Youth Conference and Leadership Formation Program in Rome. I knew that the chances of being selected were slim, as they were doing an international search for faithful young Catholics to fill a very limited amount of spots, and they were indeed overwhelmed with the number of applications they received. I was therefore humbled when I received the news that I was selected from among the many applicants.
The journey, coinciding with the Vatican Youth Synod in October, will be a witness to faithful adherence to the unchangeable teachings of the Faith and will include a Leadership Formation Program, a pilgrimage day at Rome's holiest sites praying for the Church in crisis, a Youth Conference with Cardinal Burke focused on vocational discernment and evangelization, and All-Night Adoration praying for the Church.
LifeSiteNews will cover most of my accommodations in Rome, the conference fees, tour fees, and the meals associated with the conference. But I still need your help. The $2,300 would go towards my airfare to and from Rome, transportation within Rome, meals, and one night accommodation. I will be flying with an economy airline and staying at a convent to keep the cost as low as possible.
It would be an incredible opportunity for me to participate in this event, which is focused on just what I desire to do in life. I feel called by God to dedicate my life to the service of Christ and to lead His people to a fulfilling and joyful life with Him, and I feel that attending would not only be a beautiful witness, but would also provide me with an experience that would help form me into the leader that God is calling me to be.
