Rome Christmas Joy Trip - Jan 13th

Every six to eight weeks, HelpingPawzInc. helps the pets of impoverished families in Rome, GA. We do this by providing dog houses, food, medical supplies such as heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. We also pay to spay and neuter these animals in an effort to break the cycle of unwanted pets that cannot be taken care of due to an inability to provide adequate care. These animals have literally nothing if we do not help them, no shelter, nothing soft to lay their heads on, no food. We desperately need your help to help these poor neglected souls. We do not have a set date yet for our next trip, but it will be the end of December or beginning of January and we need to start fundraising now to ensure we raise enough funds for these poor animals.
Our last trip was on November 5 and they provided for over fifty animals, some facing starvation. It is often asked why these animals face such dire situations and the answer is complicated. Some owners want to do more for their pets, but simply cannot afford to. And since there is no socioeconomic level required to get a pet, these animals end up suffering because of their owners desire to connect with an animal. The next is a lack of knowledge of what it takes to properly care for an animal.
The last is definitely the hardest to understand and that is the lack of empathy for animals. Most of the animals we take care of spend their lives tethered to trees, out in the cold and all alone. The only time they receive love, attention and care is when HelpingPawzInc visits. Tethering is legal in Rome, here in Georgia it is a county-by-county law, we now have the person who was instrumental in getting anti-tethering laws passed in Cobb county on our team. But even if we can get the law changed, there will still be neglected animals who will suffer without us. That’s where you come in. HelpingPawzInc. is a 501c3 organization that has ZERO overhead. Every single dollar donated goes directly to the animals in need.
With cold temperatures here, these dogs are freezing, and we need to go as soon as we possibly can to ensure they have adequate shelter, food and water. We also have SO MANY animals whose owners have agreed to allow us to get them spayed and neutered, which is critical for ending the cycle and not bringing anymore babies into this world that cannot be cared for. We are begging you to please help us help these poor animals. Please give to these sweet, neglected animals in rural Georgia. They need you.
