Romashka Camp Renovation

Donation protected

Camp Romashka is a old Soviet summer camp which has sat unused for years. Earlier this year, when the unrest in eastern Ukraine got severe, hundreds of thousands of people fled.

The camp's recent private owners, Volodya and Oksana, had hoped to turn Romashka into a thriving summer camp once again, but decided instead to begin taking in the internally displaced people of Ukraine who had no where else to go.

Romashka is in bad shape, and winter is coming quickly. Not only has the camp just been sitting for years, it also is not equipped to house people during the winter. The owners are scrambling to find the funds to heat at least two of the buildings and provide indoor toilets and showers.

We are trying to help them raise a minimum of $22,000 to help quickly get these buildings ready for winter before the freezing temperatures arrive.

Romashka receives no help from the government. It's current function of helping the displaced peope of Ukraine relies solely on the help of donations and whatever money the current owners are able to give.

Please watch the video for more information, and let me know if you have any questions.
