July 30 Update: We are thrilled and thankful for your support, and we have decided to continue our campaign and raise our goal to $50,000
Since our last update, we have established a strong core team of 12 and enlisted 5 members in our Board of Directors. We are working around the clock to finish our website and we are working closely with Wagenmaker & Oberly (who provides legal counsel to hundreds of non-profits across the nation) to create strong foundations for our organization. RUF's mission is to promote education, social development and civic engagement.
RUF's Vision is to unite the Romanian diaspora in strategic partnerships, and create the largest community-powered initiative in support of the most worthy Romanian non-profit projects and initiatives.
Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders, professors, lawyers, marketing and management experts, united by our shared commitment to give back and support positive change.
Our board of directors and business sponsors will underwrite RUF’s operating costs, which means that 100% of every donation goes directly to the selected projects.

We have raised $19,000 so far, we are so close to meeting our goal of $20,000. These funds our going towards our 2018-2019 budget of $29,000.
The money will be used to sponsor, match, create fundraisers and ongoing operations of Romanian United Fund. The RUF is a first of its kind fund-raising organization that will support the most viable long-term projects benefiting Romanians and Romania. Thank you for your donation!

I have a dream. I have always believed there was more I can do for my community, and I've always desired to do more
Now I think I figure out how: I am trying to start the largest fund ever dedicated to charitable projects in Romania and other Romanian communities. I hope this endeavor will be much greater than myself, and I am willing to put a great deal of time, effort and my own money into. The goal of the Romanian United Fund is to raise money for HOSPITALS, EDUCATION, and other civic concerns such as FREEDOM OF THE PRESS and FREEDOM OF SPEECH - the most meritorious charitable projects in Romania (or in other Romanian communities).
The wildly successful videoclip we released recently was only our first project. To see ther examples of projects we would like to support please watch: #NoiFacemUnSpital and #Magicamp . There are many other projects just like this one, awaiting our help.
To start RUF we need seed donations (like yours) and 100 members, people like you, that are willing to donate at least $100 on an annual membership basis. Did I mention your donation is tax-deductible?
