The University of Technology, Sydney's Muslim Society (non-profit organisation) are running an urgent appeal collecting funds for the Rohingya Muslims.
Described as the most persecuted people, the Rohingya Muslims are considered stateless and placed under stringent restriction from freedom of movement to a lack of medical aid. Innocents are currently being murdered after a recent violent breakout and to provide aid we have decided to initiate one of many fundraisers.
The apostle of God, peace be upon him, described the Muslims as follows: “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
As Muslims, it is our duty to provide for our siblings in faith in their time of need a part of being merciful is to alleviate the pain of your fellow human and the prophet. Peace be upon him, has said regarding this:
“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease someone in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever covers the faults of a Muslim, Allah will cover his faults in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.”
Don’t hesitate to provide for the Muslims of Myanmar, they are Muslim and it becomes your duty to alleviate their suffering. All donations will be directed towards Human Appeal, through their head office in Sydney, which is located in Lakemba.
