After 22 year's Executive neglect, the Gambia and her capital Banjul in particular need a serious face-lift. Banjul as a City is in a bad shape, and it would require pragmatic, visionary leadership with a progressive team and established structures to make that happen.
Rohey Malick Lowe acknowledges and assumes this task as a citizen responsibility, and is ready to get in the trenches with YOU and with YOUR help, give us 'the City We Deserve!' Of the many issues that the City faces, a Rohey Lowe Council's immediate priority areas will include, but not limited to:
1. SANITATION
- drainage or sewage system management
- garbage or waste management
2. MUNICIPAL ECONOMY
- institute a competent, professional task force to study, interrogate the economic health of the City Council
- initiate and institute robust revenue generation and efficient council tax collection system
- implement measures to prevent revenue leakages to maximize Municipal's finances
4. PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE
- rehabilitation and construction of the City's structures such as public schools and sporting, recreational facilities and centers
- building and maintenance of the inner city (feeder) roads
THESE can be done, but not without a strong, efficient and selfless leadership and an engaged citizenry. Therefore, Team #ROHEYLOWE is counting on the support of ALL, especially the sons, daughters and inhabitants of Banjul for substantive, people and issues-centered campaign.
