Rogers Park Free Store, Mutual Aid Project

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, mutual aid efforts across the world have stepped up to meet the needs of their neighbors. Rogers Park and the surrounding communities on the northside of Chicago are no exception.
We are a collection of neighbors - made up of members from PO Box Collective, Rogers Park Community Response Team and Rogers Park Food Not Bombs - who have been providing fellow neighbors with food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, diapers, and more.
Having a physical space serves to give our neighbors a safe way to connect with each other in a time when we need each other the most.
A storefront at 1407 W Morse Ave has generously been donated to create a Mutual Aid Hub and Free Store for our community. Until now, volunteers have been storing and distributing from their homes. This space will bring the inventory and volunteers of these groups together to help meet some of our community’s greatest supply needs.
Please donate towards our $40,000 goal, which will all go directly toward purchasing supplies for our community.
Together, we can make sure everyone in our communities have what they need to survive this pandemic and beyond. Thank you so much for supporting this effort.

TIENDA GRATIS DE ROGERS PARK
PROYECTO DE AYUDA MUTUA
Durante la pandemia de Covid-19, en todo el mundo la ayuda mutua se ha intensificado frente a la necesidad de los vecinos. Rogers Park y las comunidades a su alrededor en el norte de Chicago no han sido la excepción.
Somos un grupo de vecinos, formados por miembros del PO Box Collective, Rogers Park Community Response Team (Rogers Park grupo de respuesta comunitaria) y el Rogers Park Food not Bombs (Rogers Park comida, no bombas), quienes hemos estado suministrando a los vecinos con: alimentos, artículos de baño, aseo y limpieza, pañales, y mucho más.
Tener un espacio físico servirá para que nuestros vecinos tengan un lugar seguro para conectarse entre ellos y cuando más lo necesiten.
Un espacio en 1407 W Morse Ave ha sido generosamente donado para crear el Mutual Aid Hub and Free Store (Centro de ayuda mutua y tienda gratis) para nuestra comunidad. Hasta ahora, los voluntarios han almacenado y distribuido los items/provisiones desde sus casas. Este espacio permitirá manejar el inventario y organizar los voluntarios del grupo en un solo lugar. De esta manera poder responder eficientemente a la distribución de los suministros de más necesidad de nuestra comunidad.
