Roger's Farm -Hurricane Harvey

Donation protected

Friends and Family,
My name is Terri and my family has been affected by Hurrican Harvey.  As I sit here in California, I can't even imagine the devistation that they are going through.

I am raising funds for my sister (Kim) and her husband (Rich).  Their farm that they have been building, piece by piece, is all under water.  The original predictions of Hurricane Harvey showed they were is a safe area.  The unpredictable rainfall and flooding has wiped out their home.  Picture was taken just before the water came in.

I first ask that you Pray for them and everyone else that has been affected by this storm.  My family that has been affected by Hurricane Harvey include My cousin (Howard), his wife (Cindy), my niece (Amanda), her two small children, My sister (Kim) and her husband (Rich).  Howard's home is flooded  and they are staying with family outside of Houston.  Amanda's house  is standing strong.  Thankfully she's in an area where the water has been able to drain back into the ocean.  Kim and Rich have lost everything.   They weren't able to take anything with them only what they were wearing.  They are staying w/ Kim's daughter Amanda.  Praise God my family is all safe and have shelter.  Praying their food and water supply last the duration.  They all took precautions and tried to prepare as best they could for the storm to come.  Nothing can prepare you for your house being washed away by flooding waters.

There are different ways you can help. First, I ask that you pray for them and everyone else that has been affected by this storm. Pray that those who have found shelter have food and water supplies that last and are sufficient for their needs. Second, please consider donating. All the donated funds will go toward Kim and Rich’s immediate needs of clothing, food, and water. The funds will also help toward their future needs of rebuilding their farm. Kim will be able to directly with drawl the money as their needs arise.  Please give what you feel lead to give. No amount is too small and any amount will help during this horrific time.

Thank you in advance, especially for prayers.

With Love,
Terri

Kim and Rich moved to Texas about 3 years ago to closer to Amanda and their grandchildren.  Their dream is to be active and present in their lives, while running a little rual farm.  They started little by litte, eventually they had a place to call home.  They built the goats pin, chicken coops, and planted a nice garden.  Just a few short weeks ago Rich was building a deck onto the house.  The deck fell on top of him and he suffered 4 broken and a lung filled with fluid.  He had to have surgery to drain the fluid and was in the hospital for almost a week.  He was unable to go to his check up appointment due to the hurricane.  On top of loosing their home, animals, and all their belongings, they have high medical bills to pay.  Again I urge you to give if you can.
We stand on God's words and promises....
"Rejoice in the Lord always...... do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.  And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" Pilippians 4:4-7
