<div>This memorial fund is in honor of Roger A. Nelson- husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Roger touched so many lives across the world; whether it was growing up on the East coast, serving in the Army overseas, or raising a family out west, he had a gift of humor and wit that endeared him to everyone, everywhere. His life was troubled at times, but at his core he was a loving family man and friend. It is therefore with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to him so soon.

<div>Roger was well known for his passion for learning and education. The number of folks who knew him and didn't debate a topic with him are few. He earned multiple advanced degrees and used them to make the world a better place, particularly as a prosecuting attorney and a soldier. Given the importance he placed on education, we are establishing this memorial to help fund tuition for his three college-aged children, Jackson, Olivia and Derek.
