Roebuck Nursing Home bike ride to Calais

We are fundraising for a sensory room for our residents, so we can provide lights, water, texture, touch, sights, sounds, hand treatment and relaxation space.
Hi we are Roebuck Nursing Home based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. We provide quality care for adults with a vast range of medical needs. We are fundraising to provide our residents with a calming multi functional sensory room. Not only does this give the residents a room to relax and unwind in, it also provides a change of scenery. So now more than ever a room of this purpose would be very beneficial, and although we did consider postponing the fundraiser, we all feel its too important. Our residents enjoy the bright well equipt bedrooms, welcoming lounges and dining rooms. As well as a beautiful garden, our goal is to provide a sensory room that enables our residents to indulge in quiet and relaxing activities which provides huge benefits to their well being, a oasis away from familiar surroundings.
We need to raise money for specialist seating, lighting and interactive tools. We are asking if you would sponsor our staff, as we bike the miles from Stevenage to Calais France a total of 145.7 miles! On Friday 22nd May 2020.
This will be done on a stationary bike within our home, you can see us in action in our French theme costumes. We will be on live stream via Facebook @RoebuckNursing. Please cheer us on!
