<div>Rodney's brother Rodrick called this evening to share that he is taking a few days off from work to support his and Rodney's mom, Sandra Reed, as she has another surgery and then recovers at home.  Rodrick asks that you keep her in your thoughts and/or prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

<div>Rodrick does not have paid time off, so every day he is not working is a hit on his day to day living expenses. <div>Today is Sandra Reed's birthday. She has not had an in-person visit with her son Rodney on Texas death row for nearly a year. Rodey asked her to come visit for her birthday, but they could not get a reservation to visit until tomorrow (Dec 3), so tomorrow, Tuesday, Rodrick and Sandra are heading to Livingston, Texas to visit Rodney.

<div>Please share some love with Rodney, Sandra and Rodrick and their family by keeping them in your prayers for safe travels, and for FREEDOM for Rodney very soon. And if you can pitch in for some gas money or a meal or some foods they can leave for Rodney to get himself some decent food for a holiday meal, please do!

<div>Here's what I want to say about Rodrick Reed. He shows up, not just for his <a href="https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/rodney-reed-is-innocent-free-him-now" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">innocent brother on Texas death row</a>, but for both the innocent and the guilty. Recently (March 6, 2023), Rodrick stood in protest with us outside the Walls Unit in Huntsville when a guilty man was being executed. Last year when Melissa Lucio was facing a very real execution date, Rodrick showed up repeatedly to help bring attention to that case.

<div>Now Rodrick needs our help. The everyday struggle of living on the edge of extreme poverty is very real. Everything costs more when you are poor. Every unexpected car repair or phone snafu or whatever just piles on. And for Rodrick, his vehicle and phone are the things that makes it possible to work. Recently, Rodrick experienced a break-in to his home and car, losing his phone and other valuables.

<div>Now with the holiday season approaching, your support will help Rodrick be more present for his son and his family in the coming weeks.
