Please help me afford my final year

Howdy!

My name is Rodolfo Marquez and I am a Senior Petroleum Engineering student and a member of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. I am from Barquisimeto,
Venezuela. The reason for this Gofundme is to raise the funds for tuition and fees (room, board and health insurance) for my Senior year at Texas A&M. My parents
would like to continue to help me but they are not able to due to the currency exchange control situation in Venezuela. While my parents were able to send funds
through the government organization (CADIVI / CENCOEX) to pay for my freshman and sophomore year, their application to send funds for my junior and senior years was
submitted in August 2016 but never processed. My parents continue supporting me with their advice and words of encouragement.

I chose Petroleum Engineering because I have always been interested in the role of the oil and gas industry in the economy, politics and society. Also, I believe in
the importance of the oil and gas industry in providing energy for the world's needs. Oil and gas has been an affordable and reliable energy source and will be part
of the mix of energy sources for the years to come. It will be an honor for me to obtain a degree in Petroleum Engineering along with a certificate in Finance
(Petroleum Ventures Program) and a certificate in Leadership from the Corps of Cadets. After I graduate in May 2018, I am looking forward to starting work in the oil
and gas industry.

During my studies, I have been blessed with the opportunity of gaining experience by working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Petroleum Engineering
Department under the supervision of Dr. David Schechter, as a Reservoir Engineer Intern at Riverbend Oil and Gas, and as a Field Engineer Intern for Wildhorse
Resources. All of these opportunities have confirmed my decision to major in Petroleum Engineering and allowed me to earn money towards my educational expenses.

This GoFundMe is also an initiative from a very special person that I met during my sophomore year, Ms. Kim Cadena. She along with her brother sponsors the Margaret
and Ed Cadena '42 Family Scholarship, which I have had the honor of receiving since my sophomore year. Based on our estimates, we believe that I will need
approximately $8,000 to pay for the spring semester and what I still owe for the fall semester. The GoFundMe will be administered by Ms. Cadena and if there are any
funds not needed for tuition and expenses, they will be donated to Texas A&M University to be used for scholarships.

Please help me continue in school and achieve my dream! Any contribution is appreciated: donations, prayers, or ideas/advice.

My nombre es Rodolfo Marquez y actualmente estudio ultimo año en Ingenieria de Petroleo, ademas soy miembro del cuerpo de cadetes de la universidad Texas A&M, soy de
la ciudad de Barquisimeto, Venezuela. El motivo de este Gofundme is el de conseguir fondos para realizar las pagos correspondientes a matricula y gastos (habitacion,
comida y seguro medico) de mi ultimo año (Senior) en Texas A&M. Mis padres les gustaria continuar apoyandome pero no pueden por la situacion del control cambiarion en
Venezuela. Mis padres pudieron enviarme dinero a traves de la organizacion guvernamental (Cadivi/CENCOEX) para pagar por my primer y segundo año, la aplicacion para
enviar el dinero para mi tercer y cuarto año fue hecha en Agosto del 2016 pero nunca fue procesada. Mis padres continuan apoyandome con su consejos y palabras de apoyo.

Elegi Ingenieria de Petroleo porque siempre me ha interesado el rol de la industria petrolera en la economia, politica y en la sociedad. Tambien considero que la industria
petrolera provee la energia para las necesidades del mundo. El petroleo y gas han sido una fuente economica y confiable de energia y seran parte del mix de fuentes de energias
durante muchos años. Seria un honor pata mi obtener mi titulo, junto con un certifidado de finanzas del Petroleum Ventures Program y un certificado de liderazgo del cuerpo
de cadets, y estoy muy emocionado por empezar a trabajar en la industria de petroleo y gas.

Durante mis estudios en la Universidad, he sido bendecido con la oportunidad de obtener experiencia trabajando como un asistente de investigacion para el Departamento
de Ingenieria de Petroleo, bajo la supervision del Dr. David Schechter, como un pasante en ingenieria de yacimientos en la empresa Riverbend Oil and Gas, como pasante
en Ingenieria de Campo en la empresa WildHorse Resources. Todas estas oportunidades me han permitido ahorrar fondos para mis estudios y tambien confirmar mi decision
de elegir Ingenieria de Petroleo como mi carrera.

Este Gofundme es tambien una iniciativa de una persona muy especial que conoci durante my segundo año la Sra. Kim Cadena, ella junto a su hermano patrocinan la creacion
de la beca Sra. Margaret and Sr. Ed Family Scholarship, la cual he tenido el honor de recibir desde el segundo año. En base a nuestros estimados, nosotros creemos que yo
necesitare $8,000 para pagar el semestre de primavera y que todavia debo del semestre de otoño. El GoFundme sera administrado por la Sra. Cadena y si existe algun fondo
que no se necesite para pagar la matricula y los demas gastos, seran donados a la Universidad Texas A&M para ser usado para becas.

En base a mis comunicaciones con la Sra. Kim Cadena, acordamos que $8,000 es el monto requerido pata pagar for lo que resta del proximo semestre and lo que debo del
semestre pasado, el dinero sera administrado por la Sra. Cadena y cualquier dinero que sobre sera donado a la universidad Texas A&M para ser usado para becas.
