Standing in Faith with Rodney & Karen

I am creating this fundraiser for my cousin Karen, her husband Rodney, and their two daughters.

In May, Rodney and Karen’s world was turned upside down when Rodney was diagnosed with TTN cardiomyopathy, a rare and serious heart condition that left his heart functioning at only 15%. Since then, Rodney has endured hospital stays, countless tests, and daily medications while walking a road filled with uncertainty. His doctors have advised him to remain out of work, and his future care may even include a heart transplant if his condition worsens.

Through it all, Rodney and Karen have held tightly to their faith. They continue to believe in God’s healing power and lean on His promises, even in the face of hardship. As active members of their church, they have always poured into others — now it is our turn to lift them up.

The financial strain has been heavy. Rodney has not been able to work since May, and while disability benefits are in process, delays have left the family struggling to keep up with household needs and expenses. Karen has been carrying the weight of supporting their family of four, including a daughter in college and another entering her senior year of high school.

We are asking for your support — through prayer, encouragement, and if you are able, financial giving. Every donation will go directly toward helping this family stay afloat with medical bills, daily expenses, and providing stability for their daughters during this difficult season.

Most importantly, we ask for continued prayers for strength, comfort, and healing. Rodney, Karen, and their family are trusting God every step of the way, and they are so grateful for the love and support that surrounds them.
