What started out as a good day ended up being a mother's worst nightmare when Roderick Russ was brutally murdered on Saturday October 24. The family is requesting donations to assist with the burial and to give Roderick a beautiful home going service. To know Roderick was to love him. He had a smile that would brighten a room and all he loved to do was dance, rap, and make everyone around him smile. The family would like to send him back home to his Heavenly Father with the love and honor that he showed to his community. Roderick had a vision and his passion was the love of music and dancing. Due to the love he had for the community and the youth, he kept a lot of young people busy and out of jail. Many were given the opportunity to express themselves, become creative, while building their self esteem and confidence with the encouragement of Roderick.
