Hello friends, family and loved ones, it is with a heavy heart and emotional anguish that I announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved brother Roderick (Riaya Sr.) Edmond Thomas on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 10:56pm.
The facts are still unsure, but on the evening of Tuesday, December 15, 2020, he was delivering food to a Postmates customer in the Cypress Park area of L.A. County, when after making the delivery and sometime between returning back to his car and driving away, he became the victim of gun violence.

Rod is survived by his 2 teen aged sons, Riaya Jr. and Jerrick, their mother's, his sister and brother, a host of cousins, aunties, uncles and friends, and the loving and supportive spiritual brothers and sisters. Riaya Sr. was dedicated to teaching the Gospel of the Most High, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and as loving and as generous of a leader as any one person can be. His constant giving of himself was always on display anytime anyone needed him. It is unmentionable how much he will be missed from the West Coast to the East Coast and all points between.  We Love Him So Much!
