Get Rod Back On His Feet
Donation protected
On September 9th while teaching his youngest son Max to brushhog, Rod fell off the tractor and ended up getting ran over by the tractor and pinned beneath the brushhog. Max, Rod's ex-wife Marla, and Rod's father Jim pulled Rod out from under the brushhog while awaiting help from 911. Rod was med-flighted to OU Medical Center, and immediately taken into surgery to repair the extensive damage to his legs. Rod sustained three broken bones in both legs, seventeen broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, and a fractured skull. Since then, Rod has undergone another surgery on his right leg. The current goals are avoiding infection and beginning to regain use of his legs. Rod has begun putting some weight on his left leg, with the assistance of nurses and a walker, in order to move from the hospital bed to a wheel chair. The next few months will likely be centered around healing and extensive physical therapy. Any donated funds will be used towards medical bills, as Rod does not have health insurance, and rent/bills for Rod's barber shop, Hollywood Barber Shop, in Norman, OK.
