Rocky's rocky road to recovery

I am writing this GoFundMe to help raise money for my good friend Cortney and her horse. Cortney's horse coliced extremely bad last week on the 27th of November. Colic is the leading medical cause of death in horses. Colic refers to pain in a horse’s abdomen, although colic episodes typically reflect conditions of the colon. While colic can include a simple blockage, a spasm in the colon/gas buildup, or torsions in the digestive tract, the majority of colic episodes are idiopathic, or “of unknown origin.” In other words, we don’t know exactly what causes a horse to colic in most cases (Succeed-Equine).
His name is Gulfwind Wild Finale but his barn name is Rocky. Cortney bought Rocky as a lightly trained 6 year old, Cortney has had him for almost ten years now. Cortney grew up learning how to ride and compete with Rocky. Rocky means a lot to Cortney and her family, as he is more like a part of family than a horse. Rocky is now a 15 year old Morgan Horse and has won multiple world championship and national championship titles with Cortney.
Cortney never thought this day would happen with Rocky because all the years she has owned him he has never had any major problems.
Rocky was admitted into surgery for the colic which was a major impaction of his colon and had to be removed or he wouldn't make it. The doctor working Rocky's case said the impaction in his small intestine was one of the worst/rarest cases she has ever seen. Rocky's surgery went very well and the doctor was able to remove all of the impaction. Rocky has to have round the clock attention and care and was only suposed to stay a week after his surgery. Due to some complications and setbacks Rocky is not recovering like he should and will have to stay at least another week. Rocky has been on IV Fluids and was being tubed every other hour which is all very expensive.
Cortney is a full time college student at Oklahoma State, she is ironically majoring in Animal Science with an option of Pre-Vet. She is getting to see the teaching hospital a lot sooner than she expected sadly it is with her sick horse. Cortney is paying for her own college with scholarships and money out of her own pocket and is now struggling to pay Rocky's medical expences.
