Rocky the Pigeon Rehabilitation
Rocky the pigeon showed up at our house only weeks after our first pigeon showed up... We found him outside our doorstep with a bloodied wing..: he looked exhausted and defeated. We took him in immediately and gave him whatever care we could , food water shelter and warmth.
Today 12/31 we took him to the vet, who took X-rays, blood, gave him antibiotics , and wrapped him up in a sling which he will have for 6
weeks. The vet said that his prognosis for life is
great but he may never fly again he said that his white blood count is about 75k which means he has a bad infection , so we are on aggressive
meds to combat that
We didn’t expect this expense and it was a hard hit, anything would help.
I have attached a copy of the visit breakdown ,
and photos of the X-rays and sling.
thank you so much for helping
