We are asking you to help our dear friends in their fight with a rare blood disorder that their sweet 5 year old daughter has been diagnosed with.

Here is Briars story given to us from her mom.....

Briar has always been very relaxed and slept a lot during the day and at night. Whenever she got a cold or the flu, she would be down for over a week.  However, in October of 2017, she started acting very strange; constantly sleeping (more so than usual) and not wanting to do anything (not typical of a child). She had just started preschool the month before so we were trying to give it some time thinking she as just needing to adjust to the new change. Long story short, this behavior continued so we spoke to a doctor who suggested we do blood work and it came back “abnormal”. We were sent to an oncologist (really scary word). After further testing, we found out that Briar suffers from a rare blood disorder called Hereditary Spherocytosis (HS for short). The disorder is a mutation of her red blood cells. She basically can’t fight off the common cold. Her organs work harder, and she constantly tired. When she gets a virus, her heart rate stays around 170 when she’s resting and her little organs go into overdrive. When this happens she has to be hospitalized immediately and given a blood transfusion. This sweet little girl has already endured more hospital visits in the past year than some of us will ever experience in our lifetime. We are asking you to help our amazing friends and their rockstar daughter in anyway you can; blood donation or monetary donation.
