Rockin' Ron's New Year Fund Raiser

The year 2020 will go down in history as an “Anus Horriblis” for most of us, none more so than for our children, especially those with issues. Locked down, isolated from family and friends and classed as at risk. Two such children dear to my heart are Isla Sykes, who was born with MPS III (Sanfilippo Syndrome) and Hannah Frost, who suffers from type 1 Diabetes, both from my adopted hometown of Marsden in West Yorkshire.

Thus, I’ve decided to come out of enforced retirement and try and help everyone see in the New Year with at least a modicum of celebration by performing a Karaoke/Disco live on Facebook, while at the same time raising much needed funds for two very deserving charities. The MPS Society on behalf of Isla and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on behalf of Hannah.

The party will start at 8:30pm on New Year’s Eve and continue past the gongs at midnight, so whether you just want to tune in and just listen or want to make a request, all I ask is that you donate to my charity fund, the proceeds of which will be divided equally between these two worthwhile causes.

Let’s face it, we’ve nowhere else to go and nowhere else to spend our money so let’s try and see in the New Year with a socially distanced, social media party and do a good deed at the same time.
