As an educational nonprofit and collegiate design team, it is our duty to provide an enriched learning environment for our members and our community. Unfortunately, rockets aren't cheap!
This year we intend to participate in two launch competitions: Argonia Cup
and Spaceport America Cup
To that end, two unique vehicles are being developed and updated to fit their flight profiles: The Manhattan Project and SpaceBoatTwo. While their implementations and design details are not yet finalized, our cost analyses have led us to turn to friends, family, and the generous-minded public to help make up the difference.
The needed amount is not an overestimate, by any means, and takes into account the thousands of dollars in sponsored products we receive from our generous corporate sponsors. The target amount will fluctuate slightly as external donations are made or new costs arise, as well.
To briefly lay out our tentative expenses,
>Spaceport America Cup: registration, fees (~$700)
>The Manhattan Project: new hardware, motors (~$750)
>SpaceBoatTwo: airframe, chemicals, test fixtures, tooling (~$1400)
>Flight Electronics: custom computers, radio systems (~$850)
Thank you sincerely for your time and consideration. We will do our best to use your donations wisely and for good purpose.
