Rocket Readers' Cafe Startup

I dream of creating a warm and welcoming place for Judson High School students to collaborate and caffienate.  Our Rocket Readers' Cafe will be a place for students to grab a warm drink, read a book, pursue their own writing, and hang out with friends in their school library.

We want to purchase cafe/bistro furniture and decor ($650), a small refrigerator ($150), two Keurigs ($125), and supplies for our coffee/tea/cocoa bar ($75).

Serving a population of 65%+ at-risk and currently receiving free or reduced lunch, the Judson High School Library is always seeking creative ways to connect students with both academic and social experiences.  We hope this Cafe will provide one more incentive for students to come to school, make a friend, and take a break from the stress.  Daily we see students who are hurting and lonely.  This Cafe is just one more attempt to help them connect to each other and with our staff.
